I am driven by the reality of climate change. I am in awe of the planet’s biodiversity and, at the same time, constantly aware of the species, shapes, and colors slipping through our web into non-existence.

 

My work captures a fantastical element of the realistic in an effort to give face and name to what may be lost. I’m inspired by the unlimited variations and complexity of elements in the natural world as well as the simple, symmetrical, and stark. I paint with color and draw minute details to give personality and individuality to each beastie.
